Untitled 8
Thursday, February 28th, 200837 birds resting on that wire grouped in thirds
one seen singing ’bout his lover’s tragic words.
He’s so far from all the others left unheard,
because he’ll scream ’bout what the others didn’t learn, while sitting mindless.
45 true friends, well they sit proudly counting yens,
greed and hunger cloud their minds as one contends,
‘This one markets gone to hell so sell to win…’
while some children will die in hunger ‘cross the world, buried in headlines.
3 mindless mothers,
running madly while the world is making love and selling arms to all its brothers,
singing ‘Amen.’
10 old warring queens will never set down their carbines,
shooting straiter on that table, checkered scenes.
92 safe ways to end this war machine -
we’re left screaming for resolution and some peace, but no one’s listening.
49 days counting with my lover,
there’s a reason my loyal friends that I don’t follow just one trend with all the others,
running towards stars, on their knees in the bathrooms of some city bars.
Spying 40 days maybe not calling themselves slaves,
12 lost children tired and hungry, in a maze,
searching for that promised land to live and praise.
Not to realize that inauspicious Numbers 13, may tell their story.
All of those old times singing this love song 9 miles high,
running blindly towards that girl and her third-eye.
She’ll hold you close and smother you so you die.
So hold your own and never trust that she won’t kill, she’ll pull you under.
3 godless mothers,
triune figures paint the walls with all their scripture while half the world kills another
in His name.
